We only have BTT as a fully online course. If the Geography course is offered as a formally designated online course then it would count as well. Currently all of summer courses are being offered face-to-face - we hope. Except the BTT course.

do the community service hours need to be 10 a year? or could you do 8 one year and 12 the next?

Hello Jane, yes they can be attained over the four years and do not have to be 10 a year.

The hours just need to add up to the required hours by the time a student graduates. We encourage community service throughout their years.

Yes, there is a list of courses that would count towards our global studies course. Ie. Grade 12 World Issues, Economics, World History.... amongst more.

What languages can you take for the language acquisition?

Students would take the second online course elsewhere. There are many ministry approved schools that offer online courses.

IB Language Acquisition courses include multiple levels of French from beginner to Immersion level as well as Spanish beginner to advanced.

No, students in Grade 10 may take the Grade 10 Math course. In Grade 11, we offer a combined course where a student can take Grade 11 and Grade 12 in one year. They achieve two Math credits in one year and remain on track with IB Math.

Students can also go into IB Math Applications and Interpretations SL from MPM2D . This is the lowest level of IB Math suitable for university programs that would not require math as a prerequisite.

The IB offers Math Applications and Interpretations SL which students can enter from MPM2D. This still counts for an IB Diploma but it is not suitable for a university program requiring a math pre-requisite.

It becomes challenging to cover both. Students on an Immersion track take two Lang A courses as a full IB student. This qualifies students automatically for an IB bilingual diploma.

Accelerated math means that students will earn MCR3U, a grade 11 credit by the end of Grade 10. This means students will move into grade 12 math in grade 11.

Canadian History is taken in Grade 10. IB World History would be taken in Grade 11.
